Our Home Insurance provides cover to your house and/or house contents for physical loss and/or damage to buildings, and for physical loss and/or damage to contents caused by any of the following insured hazards/perils:

• Fire, lightning, explosion, storm, flood, impact involving a vehicle or animal
• Riot, strike and civil commotion
• Escape of water or oil from fixed water and heating appliances including washing machines
• Theft or attempted theft of house contents – covered on the basis of the sum insured and the declared value
• Falling trees or branches and the cost of removal of fallen trees caused by the insured hazards
• House break-ins or attempts – locks and doors will be covered
• Breakage of glass around the house – covered as per values agreed upon with the insured
• Damage to pipes and cables – covered on the basis of the sum insured
• Impact from aircraft and other aerial devices or particles dropped
• Cost of alternative accommodation following the occurrence of the insured hazards/risks
• Public liability and tenants liability up to the agreed limits with Sanlam
• Liability to domestic workers as per the Workers’ Compensation Act and up to the agreed limits with Sanlam
