We are a subsidiary of SanlamAllianz, a global brand with a presence in 26 countries across Africa. Our History
Sanlam Allianz General Insurance (Kenya) Limited traces its heritage to the establishment of Sanlam Kenya in 1946. The company’s general insurance lineage evolved through a series of strategic transformations. It originates from Pan Africa General Insurance, a subsidiary of Pan Africa Insurance Holdings, which was created in 2002 when the group separated its life and general insurance businesses. In 2016, Pan Africa Insurance rebranded to Sanlam Kenya, leading to its general insurance arm adopting the name Sanlam General Insurance. A significant milestone came on September 5, 2023, with the formation of SanlamAllianz, a joint venture between Allianz and Sanlam that combined the strengths of both global financial services leaders.
Following this joint venture, on November 1, 2025, Jubilee Allianz General Insurance (K) Limited and Sanlam General Insurance Limited were merged to form Sanlam Allianz General Insurance (Kenya) Limited, marking the beginning of a new era of integrated expertise and enhanced service delivery in the Kenyan insurance market.
